Originally born Norma Jean Baker, Marilyn is generally regarded the biggest Sex Symbol in history. Monroe burst onto the Hollywood scene in the early 50's with such films as Don't Bother to Knock and Niagara.

One Hugh Hefner, who you might have heard of, quickly bought up nude photographs of Marilyn for his first issue of a magazine he called Playboy, though I am not familiar with this title. When asked what she had on for the photo shoot, Marilyn replied "The radio".

Movies like "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" and "How to Marry a Millionaire" cemented her status as the biggest draw in Hollywood. Sadly her life ended far too soon 1962 of a drug overdose.

Amongst the other things Marilyn is famous for is marrying Joe Dimaggio, sleeping with both Kennedys, and of course inspiring Lindsay Lohan's nude shots a few week ago.
