In 1998, the Alabama state legislature passed a bill which changed Pi back to the 'Biblical Value' of 3.0. Written in the New Mexicans for Science and Reason by physicist Mark Boslough, it was to parody of the legislative attempts to circumscribe the teachings of evolution.
