6 - Air Jordan

MJ wore these shoes for the first time on November 17th, 1984 in a game against the 76ers. The NBA, citing its restrictive uniform policy, banned the shoe due to its red and black coloring. MJ was fined $5000 every game that he wore the shoe - Nike couldn't have dreamed of better publicity than that. Due to the high popularity of the shoes, Nike made a version for the public that was released in the Spring of 1985.
