William is the chairman and founder of Guardian Industries, one of the largest producers of glass for cars and buildings. He also owns the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning. He bought the Pistons in 1974 for only $7M, and the franchise is estimated to be worth $477M today. Not a bad investment!
