Extreme Sports = Extremely Stupid - Worst Injuries
By: bluedevil2k Created:5-06-2008 List Contest: Staff not Eligible

While I have utmost respect for extreme sports themselves, I really have to question the people who take part in them, especially the ones who choose to forgo all safety equipment in the name of "looking cool". Not sure where a compound fracture ranks on the cool list.

As Seinfeld famously said, any sport that requires you to wear equipment to stop you from busting your head open, you need to question why you are taking part in it. For those of you that answer "for the adrenaline rush", have you tried drugs? (Kids below 18, that is not an endorsement of drugs).

Here are the worst extreme sports injury videos...

Oh, you're supposed to land on your wheels, not your face?

Perhaps the dumbest sport in an open environment, let's fly down a mountain at 80 mph, feet first, and let my nuts slam into a highway guide.

At least this kid keeps it together enough to call help for himself...while his friends look on and continue filming.

I've never seen one like this before - the two bones in the forearm go in opposite directions and literally split the arm wide open.

Never ever try to break your fall on a body slam. Your back is a lot stronger than your arm, as this guy finds out. Makes it tough to tap out when you can't move your arm.
