Most Blocks in a Game

17 by Elmore Smith vs. the Portland Trail Blazers on October 28, 1973

Unless Yao Ming has a secret 8'6" brother he hasn't told anyone about, this record is never getting broken. The game has changed too much from this time period, especially with the 3 point shot, that teams don't challenge inside any more. Combine that with the ticky-tacky fouls on the interior, the fade-away shot, and guys generally just being scared to get a shot rejected, and it appears unlikely that anyone will even get within 5 blocks of this record ever again.
