The year that ended the dunk contest, since there wasn't another one for 3 years after this one. Not sure why this one specifically ended it, since a young, popular high-flying rookie ended up winning the contest with some pretty good dunks. Turns out the winner would become one of the greatest players in NBA history (anyone who wants to argue that point, 81 points!).

Kobe faced off against such NBA superstars as Michael Finley and ____ Carr in the finals (dude is so obscure, I can't even remember his name).
